Let's Get Started!Meet Lauren!Â
BSN, RN (Future Nurse Practitioner)
Lauren began her career in the emergency department, caring for patients with acute health conditions. With a deep desire to expand her knowledge and provide more comprehensive care, she enrolled in a Doctorate Program to become a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (currently taking classes!). After several years, she transitioned to the inpatient side to gain a broader understanding of managing chronic health conditions.
Her time in healthcare led to some critical realizations:
Patients entrust us with their most valuable asset—their health—yet our conventional healthcare system often falls short by simply addressing symptoms with quick fixes like medication. Instead of focusing on finding and treating the root causes of health issues, the system tends to rely on temporary solutions.
Lauren began questioning why our healthcare system isn’t more focused on prevention and health promotion. How many times have you been told “everything looks fine” at a check-up, only to be left with unresolved, nagging symptoms? Why isn't the focus on preventing disease and helping individuals thrive, not just survive?
This is why Lauren transitioned from traditional healthcare to functional medicine—because she believes that true health and wellness go beyond symptom management. She now specializes in addressing the root causes of health issues, empowering individuals to heal, and helping them create a lasting foundation for vibrant, sustainable well-being.
It All Started When...Â
While juggling a full-time job, graduate school, and trying to maintain some semblance of a social life, Lauren began experiencing a cascade of debilitating symptoms.
Fatigue that had her relying on 4+ energy drinks and multiple cups of coffee just to make it through the day. Brain fog that clouded her thoughts and made it hard to focus. Anxiety and depression that left her feeling overwhelmed and drained. Bloating and burnout that seemed impossible to shake. Does any of this sound familiar?
Despite her struggles, blood tests came back “normal.” She was diagnosed with depression and prescribed medication. For a short time, things seemed to improve—but soon, the symptoms returned with a vengeance, even worse than before. Faced with a choice to continue down this path or question the real root of her issues, Lauren decided to dig deeper. She realized these symptoms weren’t the problem—they were signals of something much bigger going on beneath the surface.
